In the freezing weather, Arford members turned out for their meeting in January, and welcomed back speaker Sheila Willis. This time Sheila's title was 'Who Dun the Whodunits' and she talked about fictional crimes committed in books and on screen.
Details were announced about a visit to behind the scenes at Tesco, which will take place on 29th March, however numbers are limited.
Helen McMullen is now organising the monthly lunch club, the craft group is starting again this March and there will be details from the walking group when they start again during the warmer weather. Mary Nice, Ann Malcom and Pauline Dawson continue to man the trading stall each month. Members are able to place items for sale with 10% going to WI funds.
There is to be a social evening on the 23rd March which will enable members to meet for a chat and get to know new ladies who ahve recently joined WI. The latter is not always possible when a speaker comes for the meeting.
So with 2017 already several weeks old it is all happening at Arford WI.
