At the moment I'm still experimenting with Workflow, Moderation, and Permissions.
There is one overall Admin function which can set parameters for site-wide and detail activity.
There are also some 'moderator' users set up to manage the review and setting of contents - one role for moderating the History project, One for the Talkback function.
At the moment these are not working correctly and the various 'states' of the workflow steps and the moderator 'release' seem to be working against each other - more reading and experimenting for me..
The roles in place at the moment are
- anonymous user = general user without logging in
- authenticated user = user with an ID
- admin = AJY
- forum adjudicator = AJY plus the Parish Office
- moderator history project = AJY + Jo
At the moment the Forum Adjudicators can't affect anything except the forums in the talkback area. and the History moderators can only affect the Books used as the project titles in the History project.
Everyone can read everything if it has been accepted and 'published'.
Everyone can create basic content and save it for moderation
Hopefully the listings mean it won't get lost, but not all the prompts seem to work due no doubt to a clash of conditional logic somewhere...
Moderators should have a 'workflow' queue which allows them to select the areas they need to moderate, and change the status on the articles.
(Current problem is reelationship between approved and published for the variosu levels of visibility...)
