ROAD CLOSURE NOTICES

 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF KINGSLEY BOAT 29 AND HEADLEY BOAT 36

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road considers that the closure to the road as specified below should come into force without delay:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES ONLY:  That part of  Kingsley BOAT 29 and Headley BOAT 36 between its junction with Binstead BOAT 75 at the northern end of Kingsley BOAT 29 and it junction with Picketts Hill at the southern end of Headley BOAT 36.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Public roads and paths.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 11 November 2008 for a period of twenty-one days.

An order will be made to allow the closure to continue for until 10 May 2009.

Temporary Road Closure: HIGH STREET  HEADLEY

Reason for closure: To allow Openreach on behalf of BT to carry out cabling works.

Road to be closed: High Street from its junction with Long Cross Hill to its junction with the B3002, Mill Lane.

Alternative routes: From south western point of closure; west via the B3002, Mill Lane to its junction with Churchfields; north east via Churchfields to its junction with Openfields; north east via Openfields to its junction with Curtis Lane; south east via Curtis Lane to its junction with High Street and north eastern point of closure and vice versa.

Period of closure:  From 16 December 2008 for a period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (*Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 days between the hours of 0930hrs and 1530hrs). The closure will be enforced continuously during the period specified.
