COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

Winchester Area Community Action together with Community First East Hampshire and Havant Community Transport have taken over joint management of Community Transport for East Hampshire (CTEH).
Community Transport for East Hampshire operates a fleet of accessible minibuses to enable people who experience difficulty accessing public transport to travel. Over the last year CTEH have provided transport services for a variety of groups, including day centres, lunch groups, afterschool clubs, children's services, scout groups, shopping clubs and social outings for various organisations. CTEH also operate the Call & Go and Denmead Shopper Bus contracts which are funded by Hampshire County Council, East Hampshire District Council and local parish councils.

The CTEH office located in Bordon has increased staff levels to enable smooth running of all services. Staff members are Tricia Heffron and Sylvia Broom in an administrative capacity with Keith Tarrant and Bill Kilburn being the drivers for the Call & Go and Denmead Shopper services. The Community Transport team of volunteers and paid drivers transported over 20,000 passengers in the last year, travelling over 42,500 miles, allowing residents of East Hampshire to access a range of facilities that they would otherwise have difficulty using.

We're always looking for new volunteer drivers! If you would like free minibus driver training to become a volunteer driver please phone the office on the number below for further information.
The minibuses are available for group hire with a volunteer driver or groups can hire the vehicles and use their own suitably qualified driver. MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) training is also available with a qualified assessor at competitive rates upon request.

To make a booking or a general enquiry please ring 01420 475 759 and ask for Lynne, Tricia or Sylvia.
