Footpath No.2 – Huntingford Farm to Wellfield Corner (B3002)

Notes:

* Pic 3: Broken stile. Top cross bar missing.
* Pic 5: Now a metal bar gate, no private property sign.
* Pic 6: Very loose post on stile and no waymark.
* Pic 9, 10: No stile at this point, two posts and waymarked finger post. Bar gate hidden by hedge

** Pic 7,8: No stile at this point but very wide path easy to follow

Just beyond this on your right is a huge oak, one of the largest in the parish and beyond it in the distance are the grounds and outbuildings of Hatch House Farm, which is on the boundary of Headley and Lindford parishes.

There is a finger post near the junction of Curtis Lane and Frensham Lane pointing over a stile

With the stile behind you and the buildings of Huntingford Farm on your right, cross the bottom boundary of the field along side a hedge and post and wire fence to a stile

Turn right along the back of the barn to the next stile (waymarked)*

Turn left and continue on the footpath between a post and wire fence and hedge following the boundary of the following fields to a stile (waymarked)

Continue through a field belonging to Archers, a large house on the hill to the left, passing a metal bar gate and a pond on the right. This is a good spot for birds and you may see a heron*

The next stile leads to the Market Garden known as Midlands Farm, where one large field has been created from what was originally two or three. All the way on the right are mature oak trees and hazel and beyond them swampy ground*

Pass through the gap, between the end of a very tall conifer hedge ...

... and the line of trees on the right**

At the end of this field is a gate leading on to the B3002 at Wellfield Corner ...

... and a finger post pointing in the reverse direction
